Comparing to the previous major release v2.8:
- Spam filter engine completely rewritten to avoid known bugs and increase performance
- Rewritten SpamWeed Filter Extension (SFX, dynamically upgradable filter algorithm module)
- Added POP3S (POP3 over SSL) support (e.g. gmail)
- Improved filtering report
- Configurable auto-retrieving (i.e. receive mail in background) to increase mail receiving speed
- Deleting of old messages is now configurable
- Allow users to specifiy keywords even they choose to "receive mail from senders on allowlist only
- Miscellaneous clean-up and bug fixes.
Recommendation: this is a recommended upgrade for all v2.8 or earlier version users. v2.9 users please upgrade only if you have problems

I have now been using SpamWeed for about 5 days or so, I have used many Spam filters in the past, all have been Shareware and all were registered, I could name names but that would be unethical, however none of them have so far ever compared to SpamWeed which is doing exactly what I expected.
